TEXT MESSAGING IS OPTIONAL
Consent to receive text messages is not required to use DisTech. Parents, guardians, and school staff choose how to receive their sign-in code — by email or by text — and may use email only, without ever providing a phone number. Text messaging is offered as a convenience, never as a condition of service.
About this service
DisTech is a school dismissal management service operated by MegaTech Consulting Inc. Schools use DisTech to coordinate student pickup. Parents, guardians, and school-authorized drivers use it to check in at dismissal time.
Who receives text messages
Only parents/guardians, school-authorized drivers, and school staff who have entered their own phone number into DisTech. Parents, guardians, and staff do this by choice — email is available as an alternative for every sign-in. School-authorized drivers are invited by a parent and choose whether to accept that invitation.
What messages are sent
- One-time sign-in verification codes
- Dismissal notifications about a student the recipient is authorized for
- Driver authorization invitations
How consent is obtained
Recipients enter their own phone number on the DisTech sign-in screen and are shown this disclosure before submitting:
"By continuing, you agree to receive text messages from MegaTech Consulting Inc. (DisTech) at this number, including sign-in verification codes and dismissal notifications about your student. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy."
Driver authorizations
When a parent authorizes a driver, that driver receives a single invitation message. The driver must actively accept the invitation and verify their own phone number before any further messages are sent to them.
Message frequency
Varies by use. Sign-in codes are sent only when a user requests one. Dismissal notifications are sent only on school days when a pickup occurs.

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact Admin@megatechco.com. Message and data rates may apply.
